Take your concert experience to the next level!
Perhaps most recognizable as the first winner of Bravo’s Top Chef All-Stars and his recurring role as guest judge, celebrity chef Richard Blais is a successful chef, restaurateur, cookbook author and television personality. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, he went on to train at The French Laundry, Daniel, Chez Panisse and el Bulli.
Blais makes frequent appearances on Food Network and may be seen in the upcoming Top Chef spinoff, Top Chef Amateurs. He is the James Beard Award-nominated author of Try This at Home: Recipes from My Head to Your Plate, as well as his second cookbook, So Good. In addition, Blais hosts "Food Court,” a high-energy, gameshow-style podcast, which is climbing the charts in both the comedy and culinary worlds.

(Exceptions will be made for medically prescribed food/drink.) In an effort to reduce waste, guests are welcome to bring one empty reusable plastic or aluminum water bottle for San Diego Symphony performances only. Bottles can be filled at water refill stations inside the venue. Glass bottles are not permitted. Chef Richard Blais has created a new menu for pre-ordered dinners and Blais Boxes. You must pre-order dinner no later than 4pm of the evening prior to your concert. Pre-ordered dinners ( “Blais by the Bay” ) will be delivered to guests seated at tables in the Marina or San Diego Row sections. Blais Picnic Boxes will be delivered to guests in the Marina, San Diego Row or Parkside sections. Follow this link to pre-order from The Shell Provisions!
Note: you will need to set up a separate account (i.e. non-Symphony) with Shell Provisions to place these orders. Once you make your food/drink selections and confirm them in the Cart (look for the "Bag" logo at the upper right), you'll be asked to login or (on your first order) create your new account. Before you select food and drink, you will be asked for your general seating section and your performance date; after you have selected your food and drink, you'll be asked for your exact seat location and preferred delivery time. You will have the option of setting your card as the "default" payment method on your first order going forward. All orders will generate a confirmation e-mail that will come from Shell Provisions (not the San Diego Symphony).
(Note: please do not contact the Symphony Ticket Office about food pre-orders; they will have no information to help you! For support please contact orders@shellprovisions.com.)
Sorry, no. The Rady Shell is a cashless environment. The box office and the food vendors take all major credit and debit cards.
