NOTE: During busy phone times, such as subscription or single ticket on-sales, ticket requests/concerns can always be sent directly to tickets@sandiegosymphony.org.

A note of caution to our patrons: Be wary of buying tickets to The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park from any third party website. The San Diego Symphony will only honor tickets purchased through The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park and San Diego Symphony's Ticket Offices, TheShell.com, sandiegosymphony.org or through our mobile site/app. Patrons purchasing tickets through third-party ticket brokers, such as StubHub, Craigslist or individuals reselling their tickets, assume full risk for potentially fraudulent tickets purchased or obtained through unauthorized vendors. The Symphony has no way of validating or replacing tickets that were not purchased through us directly. We cannot reprint or give refunds for an invalid ticket or a duplicate ticket created by an unscrupulous vendor or a ticket sold for a higher price than the ticket's printed face value.

Single Tickets

Subscriptions and single tickets for the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park 2024 Season are now on sale, or soon will be.

New in 2024: there is a variable handling fee and a $3 Facility Fee per ticket for online single ticket purchases; there is no longer a per-transaction handling fee.

Purchase a Subscription Series

Call our Ticket Office to purchase your series subscription at 619.235.0804, or use our secure online order forms to purchase subscriptions to San Diego Symphony concerts. All currently available subscriptions are noted on our Subscriptions Page. Please bear in mind that artists, dates, concert locations and repertoire may be subject to change in the upcoming season due to COVID-19 accommodations, but subscribers will receive priority in all scenarios.

San Diego Symphony offers an attractive array of subscription options for summer concerts at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park. Traditional "fixed seat" subscriptions receive the best available seats and free ticket exchanges for Subscription Concerts (up to 48 hours in advance for another performance within your same series). Note: Traditional subscribers can also exchange to other Subscription Concerts for free, but not to Special Concerts. “Choose Your Own” subscribers have no continuing seat rights and must pay $5 per ticket for all exchanges. Buy Your Tickets in Person (RADY SHELL BOX OFFICE ONLY)

The San Diego Symphony Ticket Office is located in the west end of the Symphony Towers lobby at 750 B Street, at the NE corner of 7th Avenue and B, but is currently closed to in-person sales due to the Jacobs Music Center renovation. The Rady Shell box office is available during the open hours noted above and can service all San Diego Symphony ticketing. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. No refunds or cancellations, and no exchanges of rental event tickets. 

The Rady Shell Box Office is located at 222 Marina Park Way behind the San Diego Convention Center;

Summer hours beginning in June are:
Monday through Friday, 10am to 5pm
Saturdays: 12noon to 3pm (phone only)

Ticket Exchanges and Reprints

Subscribers may exchange tickets for free (anytime up to 48 hours before the performance) into any other subscription concert, based on ticket availability. Non-subscribers and “Choose Your Own” subscribers can do the same, with a $5 exchange fee per ticket. Exchanges for certain special sale promotions (such as $25 Seat Sales) are not allowed at all. Tickets must be returned to the Ticket Office either in person, by mail or by fax (619.231.3848) no later than 48 hours in advance of your performance. Note: On-account credits generated by open-ended exchanges must be used within the current subscription

Ticket reprinting by the Ticket Office for any reason will cost $1 per ticket with proper ID.

Group Sales

Discount tickets for groups are available for both subscription and non-subscription concerts for as few as 10 individuals in some cases. NOTE: certain popular Shell concerts can have several group reservation requests, so our best advice is to reserve early. (Reservations can be taken beginning on the day of The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park’s season schedule announcement.) For further information, please call 619.235.0804.

Gift Certificates

Rady Shell at Jacobs Park Gift Certificates will be available in person when The Rady Shell Box Office opens. (This availability will be expanded once COVID restrictions are lifted in our offices. Please note that gift certificates are not redeemable for Gift Shop merchandise. All ticket sales are final; there are no refunds. Gift Certificates cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be redeemed for online orders.

Donate Your Ticket

If you cannot use a ticket for an upcoming concert, we would very much appreciate it if you could donate that ticket back to the Ticket Office or The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park Box Office (preferably several days in advance!) for a potential resale. You can also mail such a ticket to 1245 7th Ave., San Diego, CA 92101 (Attn: Ticket Office). Tickets can be turned in anytime up to 24 hours in advance of your concert. A receipt will be mailed acknowledging your tax-deductible contribution. (We would be unable to accept any tickets for tax deduction purposes after the concert has begun or passed.) Can I get a refund for any missed concerts at The Shell if I have a subscription? Tickets for missed concerts are non-refundable for subscribers and single ticket buyers alike.

Student Tickets

San Diego Symphony does not offer student standby tickets for concerts at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, but we do offer a standard $5 student discount for most seats and most (but not all) concerts at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park. Student discounts apply in the Parkside, and Bridgeview sections. Student discounts do not apply in the Marina, San Diego Row or Lawn sections. Eligibility for this discount is at the discretion of the Ticket Office. Discount is not available online.

Donor Benefits

Depending on level of giving, donor benefits include: preferred seating, access to intermission lounge, personal ticket concierge, upgraded access to parking and "meet the artist" events. For more information, contact Institutional Advancement at 619.615.3901.

Third Party Tickets

Please note that San Diego Symphony will NOT honor tickets for San Diego Symphony concerts purchased through third party entities. The Symphony will only honor Symphony tickets or receipts issued by the Symphony Ticket Office. Acceptance of third party tickets to non-Symphony events at Symphony Hall is strictly at the discretion of the presenting organization.
