Featuring Mariachi Los Camperos, the United Lowrider Coalition and the 54th Annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights
San Diego Symphony presents "Cruising Into The Holidays: Fiesta Navidad," a free holiday celebration at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park!
To begin the festivities, concertgoers can view lowrider cars and bikes on display in the parking lot outside Gate 2 and in the venue’s Sycuan Community Plaza, provided by the United Lowrider Coalition. Lowrider cars and bikes will showcase the full spectrum of lowrider customization, celebrating the rich history of lowriders in San Diego and beyond. Concertgoers will have the opportunity to learn about their impact on the automotive world, the lowriding culture at-large, and the history of car customization.
Mariachi Los Camperos will take The Rady Shell stage at 5:00 PM and will perform a 90-minute set including songs such as "O Christmas Tree," "Silent Night," "Jingle Bells," "Las Posadas," "El Caballito," "La Muñeca," "Feliz Navidad" and many more. Mariachi Los Camperos will be joined by Ballet Folklórico Chiquina Palafox.
At roughly 6:45 PM, the 54th annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights, comprising approximately 80 boats decorated for the holidays and this year’s theme – “Peace On Earth” - will cruise past The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, for which concertgoers will have a front-row-seat. The full parade will take anywhere between 60-90 minutes to pass the venue.
This is a free event; however, tickets are required in order to attend. The front section of the venue will have tables and chairs, and the rest of the venue will be Lawn seating (ideal for blankets and folding chairs). However, ALL seating is General Admission, first come first served, and no chairs or tables can be reserved.
Attendees may bring food and non-alcoholic beverages into the venue, and onsite concessions will also be open and available for purchase.
